Steve Agg set to outline CILTs future vision of the UK’s transport infrastructure at The Microlise Transport Conference 2014
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK – CILT (UK) - is the independent professional body for all individuals associated with logistics, supply chains and all transport throughout their careers.

CILT has a presence in more than 30 countries across the world. This network of members and contacts can connect all CILT members wherever they are in the world and constitutes the greatest resource of professional expertise within their areas of interest.

In a recent report, CILT has examined the forces of change and developed a vision for 2035 in an attempt to understand the impacts that wider societal progress will have on transport (and vice versa), to set a context for how industry will operate in the future and to identify the policy instruments that will be required to serve society as effectively as possible.

Steve Agg, Chief Executive at the Institute will be speaking at the Microlise Transport Conference at the Ricoh Arena on 14th May, briefing delegates on the recently published CILT vision report. Steve will also explain the thinking behind the vision and the likely impact on the industry.
Steve, a well-known figure in logistics, supply chain and public transport circles, joined the Institute in May 2006. He is based at the Institute’s Corby headquarters.

A long-time member of CILT, Steve is committed to raising the profile and status of all individuals working in the logistics and transport profession.
The Microlise Transport Conference 2014 is focused on helping fleet operators reduce their operating costs, improve their service levels and reduce their impact on the environment.

The event is a great opportunity for transport professionals to stay informed of industry developments, gauge the opinions of governing bodies and find out how other fleet operators reduce their operating costs and improve their service levels.

Bob Harbey, Executive Director at Microlisesaid, “The Microlise Transport Conference is in its third year now with this year’s event will be bigger than ever. The event’s popularity is testament to the valued contribution of industry leaders like Steve who offer so much to the delegates.”

Steve Agg comments, “The Microlise Transport Conference offers us a great platform to get our message across to transport professionals. I was delighted to accept Bob’s recent offer to speak at the conference and very much look forward to the day.”
