Crieff bus service expands routes

The people in Crieff can look forward to an improved town bus service from Monday, it has been announced.

This will include extra journeys on Saturdays and during school holidays, as well as the addition of new stops to the schedule.

The improved bus routes, that were decided on following a public consultation, will see more journeys made to Strathearn Community Campus. Extra additions to the route include Ochilview Gardens, Inchbrakie Drive and Gwydyr Road road end at Craigard Road.

John Kellas, convener of Perth and Kinross Council’s enterprise and infrastructure committee, told The Courier: “I feel that the introduction of these timetable improvements will better meet the travel needs of existing users and open up new public transport options for residents of Perth and Kinross in the east of Crieff.”

The Crieff town service - number 45 - will now be operated by three local bus services: Sweeney’s Garage, Docherty’s Midland Coaches and Burnbrae Garage.
