TfL to present modern vision at FutureFest

Transport for London (TfL) has announced that it will be teaming up with innovation charity Nesta to exhibit at FutureFest, which will take place on March 14th and 15th at Vinopolis in London Bridge.

Richard de Cani, TfL's managing director for planning, said: “London's population is set to grow from 8.6 million today to 10 million in 2030, and everyone will rely on the Capital's rail, underground and road networks to get around and make the most of all London has to offer.”

TfL plans to take the opportunity to showcase its plans for Crossrail 2, as well as how the London Underground will be extended to Battersea by 2020 to connect new housing developments in the area.

Road projects will also be on display in the form of the £4 billion Future Roads programme, which will involve making London’s roads safer, less congested and better for the environment.
