Our client, a leading conglomerate with a world-wide presence is seeking an experienced Control Tower General Manager to lead and mentor their UK operational team.
Although not an operational role you must have knowledge of Air, Ocean and Road Freight as well as warehousing as you will be required to manage key client accounts; taking ownership of KPI’s, customer SOP’s and service delivery.
A large focus of this role is the management of a multi-functional and multi-cultural team of 4PL Controllers - reinforcing and maintaining a culture to deliver Continuous Improvement and their on-going development to strengthen and refine management frameworks for operations. We are looking for a highly regarded Manager who has looked after teams of 25+ and has a strong sense of training and development as well as recruitment.
Other key duties for this role include process design and compliance management, collaborating to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Managing operational margins and team budgets will come under your remit as well as pricing for new business proposals, ensuring the integrity of operational system data.
In essence we are looking for a candidate with strong international operational background in all modes of transport including within a 4PL structure. An exceptionally strong dynamic people manager who has the commercial acumen and analytical skills to ensure this business continues to grow and develop within the market place.
