The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is deeply saddened to learn of the death of David Noble, Group CEO, The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS). CILT offers its condolences to David’s family, friends and colleagues.

Richard Wilding OBE FCILT FCIPS, Chairman, CILT(UK), said: “As Chairman of CILT(UK) and also as a Fellow of CIPS my thoughts are with David’s family and friends. This is extremely sad news and David is a monumental loss to the procurement and supply chain profession. CIPS has benefitted enormously from his vision, drive and experience, and the organisation is now very different to the one he joined. CILT offers our support to the broader CIPS family at this time.”

Kevin Richardson FCILT, Chief Executive, CILT(UK), said: “David served CIPS with great dignity and I have a huge amount of respect for the role he played in developing the procurement and supply sectors. The profession has lost one of its most valued and influential characters. His loss is sorely felt by us all. Our thoughts are with David’s family at this difficult time.”
