Kite Packaging launch new Corded Polyester Strap

20 March 2017/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Logistics & Supply Chain, Operations Management

Strapping is used throughout industries as a key method for sealing and securing goods. Using the appropriate strapping for a load is vital in order to maintain the integrity of a load as it travels through the supply chain.

Securing and stabilising loads (commonly pallets of heavy items) while in transit, ensures pallets don’t destabilise, products don’t get damaged and health and safety issues are avoided.

Kite Packaging has launched a range of high quality corded polyester strap for their online customers – available in the three most popular widths on the market.

Corded polyester strap is the ideal solution for securing heavy loads and is a lighter more user-friendly alternative to steel strapping. Also commonly known as non-woven polyester cord strapping, this high quality, strong solution secures products of all shapes and sizes and is stronger than standard polypropylene or polyester strapping.

Kite also launched a range of Galvanised steel buckles in 13, 16 and 19mm, ideal for use with corded polyester strap. These steel buckles are easy to apply and require no tools. Strapping seals and buckles are essential to ensure a tight seal for adequate strap tension, as low tensions can cause containers to topple.
