Logistics operator, Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG), has won a £1 million a year distribution services contract with sports retailer Decathlon.
 
The contract will involve Bradford-based ASCG delivering a seven day a week, 364 days a year stock replenishment service to 23 of Decathlon’s 29 UK stores.
 
Robin Shaw, Business Development Manager, ASCG, said: “This is a significant contract win for Advanced Supply Chain, further bolstering our portfolio in the FMCG and retail distribution sectors.
 
“We look forward to working with Decathlon directly and offering our expertise in transport management and track and trace capabilities.”
 
Technology will be a key part of ASCG’s strategy for delivering a fast, flexible, transparent supply chain whilst improving speed to market and tracking capabilities.
 
Robin Shaw continued: “Our continual investment in technologies such as work in progress screens, drivers’ mobile applications providing live ETA’s and advanced notice of issues to stores has made our whole operation run very smoothly.”
 
ASCG has also sourced specialist trailers to enable fast and efficient delivery to all stores with varying capacity and loading capabilities.

The announcement of the Decathlon contract win comes off the back of a number of other recent contract wins by ASCG, including BHS.com and Urban Outfitters.
