New Non-Executive Director joins Port of Tyne board

Mark Preece has joined the Port of Tyne in North East England as a Non-Executive Director bringing over 30 years of experience in the maritime and subsea sector. 

Previously CEO for CEONA Offshore, Mark brings extensive senior management, commercial, operations and business development experience gained both in the UK and international oil, gas and offshore renewable energy markets.

Hilary Florek, Port of Tyne Chairman, said: “Mark is a highly-experienced and respected figure in the offshore sector and is a great addition to our team, I look forward to working with him in the coming months and years to help support our strategic plans for growth.”

Before joining CEONA Offshore Mark was CEO Reef Subsea, SVP Business Development and Marketing at Acergy, Managing Director with Bibby Line Ltd, and has worked with Technip SA, Coflexip Stena and Stena Offshore, where he was Managing Director Canada and Caspian, and Senior Vice President UK and International Business Development. 

In his earlier career he was a ship's Master, a Marine Superintendent and a Project Manager.
