Parachute Display team searching for sponsors

30 November 2015/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Logistics & Supply Chain, Ports, Maritime & Waterways

The Royal Logistic Corps ‘Silver Stars’ Parachute Display team is looking for sponsorship to continue the tradition of the oldest parachute display team in the British Army. The 'Stars' are currently manned by Regular Army and Army Reserve Personnel.

This is a part-time team and conducts a minimum of 15 parachute displays per year, with an overseas training exercise conducted in the U.S.A. prior to each season. Team members come from a wide range of logistics trade background such as transport, supply, postal, air-movements, port and maritime.

The displays consist a mixture of civilian and military events such as air shows, military armed forces activities, and horse race events (Grand National at Aintree and York Ebor Festival) some of which have been televised.

The team is activity looking for sponsorship to help with equipment and training costs and would ideally like to receive assistance from a logistics organisation.

From a sponsor’s perspective there are several ways in which the organisation will see its company brand/logo being displayed, examples of which can be discussed with the team manager.
