Scottish-based company Ferguson Transport & Shipping has taken over an 18-acre site near Fort William.
The K1 BSW Sawmill plot is now set to become the company's flagship logistics hub, reports Logistics Manager.
Due to its size, the site will be home to a variety of spaces, including 160,000 square feet of warehousing, offices, large hard standing and a weighbridge.
Having taken on the new site in Fort William, Ferguson will now be able to centralise all of its local activities in one plot.
Alasdair Ferguson, group managing director of Ferguson Transport & Shipping, said that this will "allow for further growth within the company, and give us the necessary room we need to expand in the Corpach area [in Fort William], and in some cases consolidate some of our existing activities on to the one site."
One of the largest operators in the Highlands of Scotland, Ferguson manages and distributes a fleet of more than 70 commercial vehicles every year.
