Wise Coaches takes its first Scania

04 May 2016/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Bus & Coach

Wise Coaches of Hailsham, East Sussex has recently taken delivery of its first new Scania coach. The vehicle, a 12.1-metre overall length Scania Touring HD, is fitted to a Scania Euro 6 K 360 IB4x2 chassis with Scania's fully automated Opticruise gear selection system, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Advanced Emergency Braking.

The body is fully equipped with all executive features expected from a top of the range touring coach, including Bosch Audio/Video equipment, climate control, washroom, servery, fridge, reversing camera, 49 Kiel passenger seats with magazine nets and seat back tables, CCTV at centre door, auxiliary heater and Xenon headlights.

Wise Coaches will benefit from the inclusive Scania Repair and Maintenance programme, which will be managed by Scania Lewes.  As with all new coaches sold to Scania retail customers, driver and technical training is offered.  Scania's OnBoard telematics system is also included with this vehicle for ten years, with records on driver and vehicle performance sent direct to the customer by email.

Richard Lawrie, South East Regional Account Manager for Scania (Great Britain) Limited, comments, ‘"t’s a pleasure to be supplying Wise Coaches with their first new Scania coach, and indeed the first new vehicle to be added to the fleet for a number of years. I have no doubt this vehicle will perform superbly for them, a wise investment indeed."
