Definition of terms used in the Terms and Conditions for Supply-Chain Insight
CILT(UK)/we/us means the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK. (a company limited by guarantee registered in England under company No: 2629347, registered charity No: 1004963, VAT No: 657 3553 13), having its registered office at 11/12 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6LB, and also located at Logistics and Transport Centre, Earltrees Court, Earltrees Road, Corby, Northants, NN17 4AX.
"you/your" means the authorised subscriber to the Supply-Chain Insight subscription service, as identified in Appendix 1 to these Terms and Conditions
"SCI" means the Supply-Chain Insight subscription service.
"Conditions" means the standard terms and conditions as set out for access and use of SCI
"Web site" means the SCI web site at www.ciltuk.org.uk/sci
1. Subscription Period
The start of your subscription period will be as set out in Appendix 1 to these conditions and will be for a minimum period of twelve months unless agreed otherwise.
2. Subscription Renewal & Termination
Renewal of your SCI service shall continue unless and until terminated by us or you, giving to the other not less than two months’ written notice prior to the expiry of the subscription period. The subscription fee and renewal thereof is payable annually in advance. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription should there be a breach of any conditions contained herein. No refund of subscription fees is available if your SCI service is withdrawn due to your breach of the conditions by you. 3. Subscribed Usage
Your subscription allows for authorised access to SCI as set out in Appendix 1 to these conditions.
4. Right To Transfer Subscription
You have no automatic right of transfer, assignment or sub-licensing of SCI. Under no circumstances can SCI be subject to a reseller’s agreement. SCI remains the property of CILT(UK) at all times.
5. Service Availability
We will always endeavour to offer the highest service available to subscribers of SCI and to make the web site available at all times. However, support service and maintenance is restricted to our usual business hours. If a fault occurs, or if there is an interruption to the service provision, please contact the administrator by email knowledge@ciltuk.org.uk or by telephone +44 (0) 1536 740139.
6. Force Majeure
We will not be held responsible for failure to deliver the services of SCI that are due to causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to, governmental actions, fire, work stoppages, shortages, civil disturbances, transportation problems, interruptions of power or communications, failure of its suppliers or sub-contractors, failures of the internet, natural disasters or other acts of God.

All rights in the pages and contents of this web site are reserved by CILT(UK) or individual authors. No part of this website or its contents may be reproduced or distributed in any form other than for private use or in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and any amending legislation. All reproductions require an acknowledgement of the source and the author of the work.
8. Passwords & Security
Once issued, you become responsible for any activities on the SCI web site through the use of your log in and passwords. Passwords can be changed at any time by contacting the Supply-Chain Insight administrator by email at knowledge@ciltuk.org.uk
9. Photocopy Requests
All photocopy requests must be submitted on official copyright forms.
10. Amendments to Service & Compatibility
SCI conditions may be updated from time to time. We undertake to notify you prior to any changes with delivery of SCI including changes to browser requirements. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that compatibility is available, it is your responsibility to ensure that hardware, software or firmware is of a nature to support receipt of SCI. We reserve the right to change the structure, organisation and functionality of SCI.
11. Disclaimer
Linked sites maintained by CILT(UK) or its agents shall be subject to these terms of use. CILT(UK) has no responsibility nor does it guarantee secure use for linked sites it does not maintain. Such links do not imply endorsement or otherwise of such sites or the goods, services or material they offer or contain. CILT(UK) is not responsible for the security and/or contents of these sites, and would encourage you to read the individual privacy guidelines when visiting other sites. 12. Warranties
CILT(UK) - does not warrant in any manner any materials available either directly or indirectly through this site. Whilst CILT(UK) uses reasonable precautions to ensure materials are free from incorrect, defamatory, offensive, or other harmful content (including but not limited to viruses) it does not guarantee in any way the exclusion of such. CILT(UK) shall not therefore accept liability, financial or otherwise, resulting to you or any third-party from use of the site.
13. Liability
CILT(UK) nor any of its agents shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any damages how so ever arising whether directly or indirectly from this site (or its use) or linked sites (or their use).
14. Privacy Statement
CILT(UK) endeavours to treat your personal data with the respect and care which it deserves, using our best endeavours to ensure that it is appropriate for the purpose for which it is to be used and is accurate and complete and kept up-to-date.
15. Applicable law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
16. Miscellaneous
By using SCI you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
