Personalities

Chairman: Paul Brooks FCILT

Paul took up his position on 1st November 2007 having previously been Vice Chairman from March 2006. Paul has been involved closely with the development of the Institute since 1995 with the original formation of today's Forums and was a founder member of the Inventory Management Forum. He has been Chair of the Supply Chain Faculty since August 2003 and a Board member since August 2004, he currently Chairs the Faculty Co-ordination Committee.

As a full time role, Paul has responsibility for the sales development of logistics solutions for a wide range of clients on behalf of Unipart Logistics, a division of the Unipart Group. Paul has developed solutions with clients in the retail, technology and aerospace sectors across Europe and is currently involved with the deployment of solutions based upon Unipart Logistics' unique way of working known as 'The Unipart Way'.

Paul joined Unipart in January 2000 as managing director of Unipart's e-fulfilment business. Through the creation and launch of ufulfil.com he was responsible for delivering fulfilment solutions to multi channel retail clients and since it's integration into Unipart Logistics to rapidly growing clients such as ASOS.com.

Paul has extensive experience in the third party logistics sector, having previously held positions as managing director of Cert Logistics and business director with Exel Logistics. Prior to these posts Paul held senior positions in Business Services, IT and Automotive companies.

Paul holds a first degree in Mathematics and MBA from Kingston Business School. He is a board member of Skills for Logistics (the sector skills council in logistics) and visiting lecturer to Cranfield University. Paul is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences on many supply chain, innovation and related technology topics.
