As the UK territorial body of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) International, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK - CILT(UK) - is responsible for admitting appropriately qualified applicants to the grades of Chartered Member and Chartered Fellow of the Institute.

Chartered Membership is awarded if you can satisfy the criterion that covers two distinct areas: educational attainment and level of managerial responsibility. The criteria in both of these areas must be met in order to gain Chartered Membership. In broad terms these criteria require the successful applicant to have a degree or an N/SVQ at level 5 and a total of five years' management experience, of which at least two must be at a senior level.
