GKN Freight Services was founded in 1975 primarily to provide an integrated freight management service for GKN companies to harness the buying power of the Group for all things shipping and transport related. The company was finally incorporated in 1989 and has grown from its early roots in 1975 to a global footprint.
GKN Freight Services operates globally through three regions: Europe, The Americas and Asia. Each region operates with a degree of independence however the trade lanes and customer base are so intertwined that the individual offices all have trading links with each other and in many cases, operate consolidation routes between each other.
