Enterprise

We are the UK's largest dedicated provider of maintenance and front-line services to the public sector and utility industry. We have over 13,000 people working from over 150 locations nationwide. We deliver over 100 different services to more than 15 million people across the UK, which is 25% of the population.

Enterprise has over 40 years experience maintaining and improving the UK's utility infrastructure on behalf of utility companies. We also have 25 years experience working in partnership with the public sector to ensure that their front-line services are delivered to respond to local needs, while providing the best possible value.

Enterprise in its current form resulted from the merger of Enterprise with ARM Services in August 2000. ARM delivered maintenance services and Enterprise carried out high level performance improvement and regeneration projects. The merger was highly successful and the company has developed significantly since 2000. Revenue has grown from £100m in 2000 to over £1bn today.

Enterprise was acquired by a consortium led by 3i in early 2007 and was de-listed from the London Stock Exchange. The Management Board members have been with Enterprise for a long time; the average length of services is over 15 years.  This provides continuity in the business and for our customers.

Following two acquisitions in 2007 and 2009 we are able to respond more effectively to customers' developing needs. These acquisitions have created a bigger scale, enabling us to develop new services and innovative technologies and increasing our geographic coverage of the UK.

Our customers benefit from:

  • Improved performance
  • Increased efficiency
  • Raised customer satisfaction
  • Reduced carbon emissions
  • Proven best value
  • Tailored services to individual pressures and priorities

Technology and innovation are an important part of our service delivery.  By making sure that we are up to date and responding to new innovation we can guarantee the efficiency of our services whilst maximising our carbon reduction opportunities and reducing our environmental impact.

Our services complement each other and allow our customers to bundle them together to achieve an integrated, best value and efficient service package.  This approach of bundling reduces duplication and allows for greater transparency.
