CILT(UK) CERTIFICATION IN HUMANITARIAN LOGISTICS
In association with the Fritz Institute
CHL was developed as a response to feedback from humanitarian organizations highlighting a need for a program for, humanitarian logistics professionals. It was developed in collaboration with an inter-agency committee consisting primarily, of the heads of logistics from eight humanitarian organizations. The qualification was designed to meet their requirements, for trained, skilled humanitarian logistics professionals.

La demande d'aide humanitaire qui n'a de cesse d'augmenter, souvent dans des regions inaccessibles du monde, requiert des, logisticians professionnels dotés de nombreuses compétences et qualités. L'empathie et la onscience sociale à elles-seules ne sont pas, suffisantes. La demande pour un soutien logistique rapide et efficace a généré un besoin en logisticiens qui non seulement connaissent
les bonnes pratiques actuelles mais qui sont également constamment disposés à apprendre davantage, à s'améliorer et à développer, leurs compétences. Il est nécessaire de systématiquement maintenir le niveau de connaissance sur la chaîne d'approvisionnement au, plus élevé. De simples compétences ne suffisent pas. Les détenteurs de qualifications en logistique professionnelle ont une prevue, tangible de leurs capacités et de telles qualifications sont de plus en plus prises au sérieux.

The planning and operating of the supply chain for the provision of medical supplies in disaster relief locations has, characteristics demanding unique skills and experience. A non-specialist supply chain may not be able to meet the, particular requirements that medical supplies place upon it. This course explores the nature of these specialist, requirements and what barriers and constraints there may be to the supply, storage and transport of goods used in medical, programmes.
