Green Car Live Liverpool Arena, Lancashire & Cumbria Group CILT (UK)
12th June saw the Lancashire & Cumbria Group take part in Green Car Live, the inaugural Green Car Live Show at the Liverpool Arena. The event hosted by Pro Environment and supported by Masternaut was attended by all the major UK car retail brands promoting the choices available to the consumer in choosing greener vehicles. Vehicles on show included hybrid vehicles, low emission vans, compressed natural gas vehicles and Mammoth Racing’s Range Rover which runs on the Fuchs Planto range of Bio Lubricants. Mammoth Racing also had their 100% bio diesel Toyota support truck in attendance. The show gave the opportunity for transport professionals to examine the wide variety of solutions on offer and discuss the complexities of greening transport through a series of extensive workshops. The CILT stand due to the unusual nature of its green exhibits attracted attention all day. Mammoth Racing had brought their vehicle straight from Round 2 of the British Cross Country Championship at Driffield, where they had achieved another class win and taken the lead in the Production Class. Throughout the month of June, at 2 rounds of the British Cross Country Championship Mammoth Racing were promoting the charity Transaid. Further developments on this involvement will be posted next month.
