Immediate Past President: Sir Moir Lockhead OBE FCILT

Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman since FirstGroup's formation in 1995. Originally a mechanical engineer he joined Grampian Transport in 1985 as General Manager and went on to lead the successful employee buy-out of GRT Bus Group PLC.

In 1996 he was awarded the OBE for services to the bus industry and in 2008 he was awarded a Knighthood for services to transport. He is a past President of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and Senior Governor of the University of Aberdeen.

Sir Moir Lockhead handed over his FirstGroup executive responsibilities after 21 years, to Tim O'Toole, and will officially retire 31 March 2011.
