World Newspapers Today - A new service available for all members!
The Knowledge Bank is where Institute members can search The Knowledge Centre’s online resources. It offers a wealth of information that is now available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Knowledge Bank provides members with free access to the Library Catalogue, Business Source Corporate and UK/Eire Reference Centre databases and over 10,000 company profiles.
The Library Catalogue provides an easy way of connecting to The Knowledge Centre’s stock of printed and audio visual information. Members can search over 39,000 sources of reference from the Institute’s own specialist logistics, supply chain and transport library, using an email facility to request items for loan, the photocopying of journal articles, or to find further information.
Business Source Corporate, the world’s largest full text, periodical, business database, is designed to meet the diverse information needs of today’s companies. It contains full text articles from more than 4,000 trade and academic journals, including the Institute’s Membership Journal - 'Logistics & Transport Focus'. There are also 600 abstracted journals, over 1,400 country economic reports and 3,153 industry reports from Datamonitor.
The UK/Eire Reference Centre database combines UK and Ireland specific magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books to create a large collection of regional full text content.
The Company Profiles are provided by Datamonitor, a leading creator of in-depth company information and include extensive profiles for over 10,000 of the world's leading companies across the automotive, consumer, energy, financial services, healthcare and technology sectors.
World Newspapers Today is a unique service for all members allowing them to browse over 700 newspapers and magazines from around the world. Articles are fully searchable and available in 39 languages.
