Accreditation of Prior Achievement (APA)

Recognised Status

Becoming a Member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) means joining an internationally-recognised network of professionals. In order for membership to be recognised and meaningful, candidates have to fulfil specific criteria for each grade of membership.

So, entry into the different grades of membership of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) depends on whether you hold relevant qualifications and experience.

Accreditation of Prior Achievement (APA) is a process by which you can obtain credit or accreditation for qualifications that are not recognised for Institute membership purposes, and for other relevant development activities that you have undertaken.

The process asks that you gather evidence, usually in the form of a portfolio - paper-based or electronic - which demonstrates that you meet the knowledge criteria for membership set by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK)'s Council.

Contact the Institute for further information on applying for membership using the APA process
