What qualifications do I need to have to qualify for the different grades of membership?

Membership is assessed based on a combination of qualifications and relevant work experience. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK's - CILT(UK) - qualifications are not mandatory to become a member of the Institute.

Student Affiliate>> for all students of CILT(UK) qualifications
Affiliate>> for all those with an interest in logistics and transport but not eligible for full membership
Member>> CILT(UK) Level 3 Certificate or other Level 3 relevant qualification plus three years' relevant work experience
 >> CILT(UK) Level 5 Professional Diploma or other Level 4 relevant qualification plus one year's relevant work experience
Chartered Member>> CILT(UK) Level 6 Advanced Diploma plus five years' relevant work experience, including two at senior level
 >> Equivalent exempting qualification plus five years' relevant work experience, including two at senior level
 >> Professional Entry: interview, presentation, published works, professional paper or UK Armed Forces
