Creating relationships with other organisations...

The Institute's North West Region (NWR) is heavily committed to creating working relationships with local activists of the following organisations:

  • Go Skills
  • Skills for Logistics
  • North West Leadership Alliance
  • North West Development Agency

Logistics College North West (LCNW)

NWR has had a close working relationship with LCNW since its launch at the Reebok stadium four years ago. Since then many courses have been developed at the five constituant colleges for further education with support from the CILT(UK)'s central Professional Development Department at Corby. This will continue in future years with the long-term goal of having a logistics and/or transport course on offer in every FE/HE establishment in the region.

KS3 Education Project

Over the last four years, a team, predominantly from the Lancashire & Cumbria Group, has been creating a best in class offering to secondary school teachers to teach logistics and transport before GSCE. The educational materials are now complete offering 175 pages of careers advice. Publication is due the beginning of the new academic year. If you want to be involved by being a schools contact, please contact our secretary Martin Arthur at martin.arthur@gmltp.co.uk
