Range Rovers are considered to be one of the environments biggest threats but Lancs & Cumbria Committee Member Laurie Boyle is setting out to redress this. The unusual thing about the vehicle was that its engine oil is made from Sunflowers and Oil Seed Rape by Fuchs Germany

The car was such a draw during the recent Science Week Exhibition at the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry , visited by 35,000 people of all ages, that curator, Nick Forder (Curator Air & Space) has offered the vehicle a permanent home from January 2008. The bio engine oil is totally renewable, is rapidly bio-degradable and is the first vehicle to use the oil successfully in Motorsport Competition. Laurie, far from sitting on this success is now looking at the next challenge, which is a class win in a fully bio fuelled and lubricated vehicle for the 2008 season.
