Young Professionals Forum Committee

Owen Hughes MILT

Owen graduated from Liverpool JMU in 2007 with a 1st in Management, Transport and Logistics, having previously worked as a clerk at Network Rail.  After graduating in 2007, Owen joined global engineering consultancy Arup, where he worked on a number of major UK railway projects within Transport Consulting and Railway Engineering.

In 2009 Owen was fortunate enough to receive a bursary from the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund, allowing him to return to full time study to complete an MSc in Transport and Planning at Cardiff School of City and Regional Planning.

Owen is now a Management Trainee at FirstGroup Plc.

He has been an active and enthusiastic member of the Young Professionals' Forum since 2007, having participated in events planning within West Midlands and Cymru regions.  He is currently a YPF committee member "without portfolio", providing support to the committee and regions as required.
