Which CILT(UK) qualifications are offered by your organisation? Level 2 Introductory Certificate, Level 3 Certificate, Level 4 Professional Diploma and Level 5 Advanced Diploma.
What pre-course guidance is given? Initial competence analysis (ICA), which consists of four stages:
Stage 1: Self-assessment questionnaire, which sets out a range of task- based competence criteria for logistics activities matched to the criteria within CILT(UK) qualifications. The candidate completes the questionnaire and a comparison of the responses against benchmark criteria establishes a skills profile and identifies any performance gaps.
Stage 2: Assessor moderation, which highlights any inconsistencies or apparent misinterpretations, prior to a one-to-one meeting between the assessor and the candidate.
Stage 3: ICA report, which shows: overall level of competence; areas where evidence can be generated; areas where prior learning and experience is indicated; any activities nor currently undertaken; and list of competence shortfalls/gaps.
Stage 4: A Personal Development plan is produced identifying: proposals for dealing with shortfalls/gaps, including identification of solutions to give the individual the opportunity to get the necessary evidence; and training and development needs with identification of the options for meeting them.
