How it works…
Most CILT(UK) reports and papers are prepared by specialist Forums, reporting to the Public Policies Committee. These groups are made up of high-calibre, experienced individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Overall responsibility for CILT(UK) policy development sits with the Public Policies Committee; the Committee discusses major issues, monitors progress of Forum studies, and approves reports for publication.
The membership of this group includes senior professionals from business, public authority and research bodies. This ensures a wide-ranging debate, addressing all aspects of the topics concerned, whilst remaining unbiased. It is currently seeking volunteers from the logistics sector.
The work of the Committee and the Forums is regularly reported in 'Logistics & Transport Focus'.
The Committee encourages the Institute's UK Regions and Groups to comment on logistics and transport issues.
