Reverse Logistics Forum
Chairman: Mike Bernon
The effective management of reverse logistics is becoming an increasingly important area for the supply chain. If not planned in an integrated way the costs associated with managing returns can be significant. In addition, new legislative pressures, including the WEEE Directive, mean that the impact is likely to increase for many organisations. To be effective in minimising cost and maximising asset recovery value, organisations need tools and techniques to assess their reverse logistics operations.
The Forum's aim is to raise the profile and significance of reverse logistics and to explore the various areas of interest for members.
Members are contributing to and benefiting from the outputs of the Department for Transport ‘Tools to Manage Reverse Logistics’ project on which the Forum is currently working, in conjunction with Cranfield and Sheffield Universities.
