People Compliance Solutions
The Institute has introduced an online system which will assist employers through the process of planning and recording training and development for employees.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is about an individual keeping up-to-date and learning new skills and competencies in the fast changing world in which we live and work. CPD is defined as the maintenance and improvement of knowledge, skills and competence throughout a professional’s working life. It is about maintaining and improving standards of competence and professionalism. For further details see Why is CPD important? and What counts as CPD?
Within the CPD Online system a group administrator can overview the activity of each individual within their group and communicate information via a message board. This will enable the planning and delivery of training to be scheduled to individual and company requirements. This will ensure compliance training needs are met in accordance with the new Driver CPC, EU Directive 2003/59 for drivers of large goods (LGV) and passenger carrying vehicles (PCV). Expiry dates of licences and compulsory qualifications are retained on the system within each individual’s ePortfolio. A warning for qualifications close to expiry date alerts the user so that appropriate action is taken to guarantee compliance.
A Statement of Currency can be produced at any time during the CPD cycle. This provides a snapshot of each individual’s progress including achievements, activities awaiting completion and CPD hours accrued.
CPD Online provides the means to manage your employees’ CPD effectively and efficiently, whilst assisting in both training and budget planning.
