Warehouse Management Systems Forum

Chairman: Mike Dymond MILT

Your Institute is introducing some changes, making us more open and relevant to you, whichever sector of logistics or transport you work in.

We are replacing the four Faculties with eight Professional Sectors. These Professional Sectors will provide specialist activity for a particular area of interest whilst continuing to offer opportunity and involvement across the profession.

What you need to do...

We are now asking all members to update their details and tell us which Professional Sectors and Forums they want to belong to as soon as possible. You can do this in a number of ways - online through ‘My Membership', complete the Member Selection form that you will shortly receive in Focus, or complete the form included on the Current Awareness Bulletin over the next few weeks.

Please note, you can now belong to as many Professional Sectors and Forums as you wish.

Should you wish to make your selections online, please remember that you will need to create your password to login if you have not already done so. A short guide to making your selection online is available here.

Warehouse Management Systems Forum

This Forum is a source of live access to new systems and technologies. It actively disseminates information and highlights leading-edge and day-to-day information technology issues across the supply chain that are of importance to you and your business - now and in the future.

Forum events are user-driven and requests for areas to be included are welcomed. If you are a logistics, distribution or transport professional and would like to know more about some of the new technologies on the market before you think about investing in them this will be the Forum for you to get involved with.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Warehouse Management Systems Forum is to inform, educate and support the logistics industry to achieve excellence through shared experience, practical knowledge and best practice in all aspects of these systems.

Forum Style

  • The Forum is committed to producing a comprehensive range of industry knowledge to all levels of operational and development management
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) are about efficiency of process operations - success is truly ‘mission critical’ - in an increasingly demanding business environment
  • The need to be neutral, relevant, comprehensive and practical
  • The need for dynamic involvement of our younger members
  • Business is serious but – it can be fun and exciting
