For outstanding achievements beyond that which is normally expected from managers of this age and experience.
This award is for excellence in any of the functions relating to the management of logistics and transport; including both operational management and supporting functions. ‘Young' is defined as a Manager who, on 31st December 2010, is not more than 35 years old.

National Trucking Manager for GeoPost UK, Tom Dovey has identified and delivered several crucial operational improvements, resulting in millions of pounds worth of efficiency savings. Responsible for 410 drivers and with 8 direct reports, Tom is known for his logical and yet imaginative approach. Tom's significant achievements include site integrations, smarter resource management and technology implementations. His new route optimisation tool delivered savings of over £1m in the first year and removed the need for any redundancies through the recent recession. With a commitment to his personal development, including two years working in France, Tom has propelled through the organisation, making a real difference.

As Projects Director for Pall Ex, Anand Paul Assi has launched new initiatives with both significant financial benefits and innovative flair. Known for his confident leadership style and analytical skills, Anand is responsible for key corporate management implementations, and scoping out new opportunities. Key successes include the pan European expansion project, which is launching the UK model across mainland Europe. Also the pioneering Eco Drive service, which provides a logistical waste solution for customers through back haul routes. Richard Dannatt is excellent at delivering on-site change. His track record is for delivering continuous and significant results for DHL and their high profile clients, Argos and MFI, and previously at Amazon. From the launch of the "1 man delivery service" for Argos, to the introduction of a new returns initiative, Richard has delivered millions of pounds worth of savings. Confident and effective at communicating and influencing at all levels throughout the organisation, Richard combines hands-on team building with strategic thinking. Recently invited to attend the DHL General Manager Academy, Richard has been identified as a high flyer with a bright future.
