Conference Theme: Future-Focused Supply Chain – Challenges and Opportunities

With the rising demand, growing innovation and disruptions, and increasing complexities in Supply Chain and Logistics Management, businesses are encountering significant challenges to effectively secure and manage the flow of goods and services across their multi-echelon supply chains. To tackle the present-day challenges and be proactively prepared for the future, businesses need to adapt and innovate their operations to sustain seamless business operations and meet the evolving needs and demands of society sustainably.

To conclude Derby Business School’s Supply Chain and Logistics Week, supported by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear about and discuss the future of supply chain resilience and expected challenges over the coming years.

Please join us for an exciting event about the development of a renewable-powered EV charging station with off-vehicle hybridised energy storage, addressing the trilemma of EV infrastructure growth, renewable generation, and grid constraints.

This event is an opportunity to learn about the FEVER project and share your views about fleet transport electrification with the research team. The day will include expert speakers from the FEVER research team and interactive workshop activities, and industry networking opportunities throughout.  

This event will be of particular interest to those working in the road freight transport sector, operators of commercial vehicle fleets (HGV and LCV), fleet and transport managers, and those with an interest in learning about the challenges associated with EV fleet charging and ways to overcome them.

  •  Presentation: ‘Technical Issues around rapid charging infrastructure for commercial vehicles’ -  Dr Iain Mosely, Director of Power Electronics, Nyobolts

  •  Interactive workshop activities exploring:  potential commercial vehicle applications; types of users for integration with FEVER sites; wider benefits for the industry of establishing FEVER sites
