Following an excellent webinar by Peter Fellows, we are pleased to announce that a tour of the Airport has been arranged for Saturday 9th July 2022 at 11 a.m. (Registration from 10.45 a.m. Parking is payable and timed) We will have 2 groups of 12 and will be shown around the historic airport.
As well as being a choice aviation facility, Brighton City Airport is known for its historically significant Grade II Listed hangar and art deco listed terminal building. The Main Terminal building was opened on 13th June 1936 under the name ‘Brighton Hove and Worthing Joint Municipal Airport’ and still stands proud, today. Aviation enthusiasts can enjoy a guided tour of these wonderful historic buildings and learn about how the Airport was utilised during the Second World War and post-war period before visiting the Shoreham Airport Collection (SAC) located in the Main Airport Terminal.
You are free to stay and buy lunch in the delightful restaurant. Numbers are limited to 24, first come first served with a charge of £5 payable on booking.
