You can upgrade your membership, depending on your knowledge and experience, to attain higher levels of membership. Your grade demonstrates your proven expertise and experience and is instantly reflected in the use of your post-nominals – MILT; CMILT; FCILT.

Chartered Membership is awarded if you can satisfy the criterion that covers two distinct areas: educational attainment and level of managerial responsibility. The criteria i nboth of these areas must be met in order to gain Chartered Membership. In broad terms these criteria require the successful applicant to have a degree or an N/SVQ at level 5 and a total of five years' management experience, of which at least two must be at a senior level.
