Oxfordshire County Council this month applied for £32.8 million from the Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme.
A public consultation will be held by Cardiff Council on how the city can improve the transport network using data and technology.
Liverpool City Council had originally planned to demolish the flyover above The Rocket junction, which feeds into the M62, and create a roundabout and tunnel.
The government has allocated funding which will help local bus and light rail services across the country as millions of passengers return to the network after the pandemic.
From 31 January 2022, all under-22s residents in Scotland will have access to free transport.
