Rail industry in the UK dependent on supply chain

27 May 2016/Categories: Industry News

Thanks to large-scale projects across the country, the UK rail industry is flourishing and there are massive opportunities for manufacturers as a result of this.

One of the biggest projects is the HS2 and others include major improvements across the north of England, all of which have put the rail sector under intense observation, reports Insider Media Limited.

Luckily, everything is looking positive, particularly as the industry's supply chain is going to benefit from the vast network of projects.

The potential opportunities that this will provide will be under discussion at The Railway Session at the Made in the UK Conference in Liverpool on 12th June.

Various rail industry experts will be attending the event to give speeches and open discussions, including Giles Thomas, rail systems director for the HS2.

Ahead of the conference he has said: "There is a huge opportunity for us to utilise technology to improve on the way we work in building the HS2 infrastructure. The innovation that the rail supply chain offers us will be crucial to making HS2 happen."
