ian tough

Ian has been CILT’s Regional Officer for London and South East Regions since 2009.

Prior to that, his 35 year Civil Service career included logistics and transport, procurement, contracting, commissioning, supply management and supplier relationships. Across the government sector, Ian held appointments in Trade and Industry, Health, Environment and Transport, Ofsted, and was Director of Supplier Relations at the Office of Government Commerce – then part of HM Treasury. He also has a three year secondment as Programme Director at Partnership Sourcing Ltd – now the Institute of Collaborative Working.

A Fellow of CILT, he is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, the Chartered Management Institute, and the Institute of Management Services.

Beyond the business environment, Ian serves as a Magistrate in South East London. He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of World Traders and the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, the Linnean Society, and the Zoological Society of London.
