An innovative and highly regarded 3PL is looking for a high-performing Sales Director to drive revenue growth within a new business sector. Competitive salary and executive package.

An amazing opportunity has presented itself for a highly successful senior player in the 3PL / logistics / distribution Sales and Business Development field.  You will be joining a forward thinking, well established but continually evolving 3PL service provider and selling distribution solutions that utilise the services of their well-developed logistics network.  This is a business that understands the pressures faced today by manufacturers and major retailers   … and so must you!  Your operational knowledge and expertise along with your innate integrity will enable you to build trust and manage lasting business relationships at senior level.  Your recommendations and key input will help the Solution Design team to understand the challenges faced by key Manufacturing and e-comm clients. 

Never an organisation to ‘stand still’, they have recently launched a new business sector and it is the Sales function of this sector that you will be heading-up.  You will have a direct influence over this new venture’s success through your ability to convey a tactical sales vision and the development and execution of an aggressive sales strategy to gain additional business across the UK.  This challenging newly-created role needs a commercial guru with a myriad of skills along with a combination of entrepreneurial drive and business management flair.  You will have the capacity to grow market share and drive through profitable sales gains / revenue growth.  This is definitely an incredibly fast-paced, challenging and rewarding role in which you will take responsibility for your own success. 

Candidates should be positive and enthusiastic with strong inter-personal skills.  You need excellent communication and negotiating abilities and to be a confident presenter.  You will be highly experienced in customer acquisition and retention - well versed in cultivating high-level relationships with clients, nurturing large accounts at a national level and selling to customers' needs.  It is a given that you will be highly analytical and financially astute and will be familiar with data analysis and reporting.
