Logistics firm acquires former City Link base

21 May 2015/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Logistics & Supply Chain

Rhys Davies Logistics has acquired the former City Link hub in Taffs Well, South Wales.

The national freight logistics company has taken the 51,360 sq ft unit at Moy Road Industrial Estate, Taffs Well on a 10 year lease.

DTZ’s Cardiff team acted on behalf of the landlord, Delyn Properties.  Rhys Davies were formerly based at Unit A on the Moy Road Estate but sought larger premises to expand their South Wales depot.

DTZ is now marketing their former premises at Unit A which comprises a 26,569 sq ft warehouse with detached offices, car parking and a sizeable yard.

Moy Road Industrial Estate is located approximately 1 mile from Junction 32 of the M4 motorway and six miles outside Cardiff city centre.

Rob Ladd in DTZ Industrial agency team in Cardiff, commented: 'City Link’s former premises presented a strategic opportunity for Rhys Davies to expand their South Wales base whilst remaining at a very advantageous logistics location. Given the current shortage of industrial stock of this size in South Wales, their previous unit at the estate offers a rare opportunity for an occupier to secure well located industrial accommodation with a yard.'
