Benelux Group
Chairman: Tim Bett FCILT
Forthcoming Benelux Event - Port of Rotterdam Authority - Presentations, Tour and Opportunity to Discuss New Developments - 10th June 2011
Reports and Presentations
The CILT(UK) is continuing to expand with the Benelux Group.
According to Tim Bett, Chairman of the Group, logistics and transport are fundamental to the area (approx 12% of the Dutch workforce are involved in logistics in some way) and a great many multinationals have HQs in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels or Antwerp. As a result, there is a significant population of logistics, transport and supply chain professionals who could benefit greatly from becoming members of the Institute.
“We are looking to provide easy access to the CILT(UK) so that members can take advantage of the many services available such as professional development, career support, events and networking, as well as logistics news and articles in the FOCUS magazine and various e-newsletters. In addition, the Group will work closely with the CILT(UK) Professional Sectors to cater for members’ specific interests.
We have a 5-person committee and are currently working on our first event, which will probably be in November. We are keen to hear from any members (or prospective members) living or working in the Benelux who would like to join the group organisation but we welcome all members to attend our events and come and see what Benelux has to offer”.
