The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (UK) North East Region has some 1850 members representing all aspects of the industry.
Regular meetings and vistis are organised by the 4 grous comprising the North East Region - PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL EVENTS.
The North East Region has a very active committee and if you are interested in becoming involved please contact our regional secretary - John Hardey. The 2008 committee meeting dates are as follows:
- 5th June 2008 at Newcastle
- 11th September 2008 at Leeds
- 20th November 2008 at Sheffield
The Region recently produced a response to DfT Consultation on Options for Strengthening Bus Passenger Representation in conjunction with the North West Region.
We are always looking to provide events for the Young Professionals in the region and if you wish to become involved or have any ideas for future events please do not hesitate to contact myself. The last event at Hull in October attracted over 50 people (including some from other regions) and provided an entertaing evening as well as the opportunity to meet your fellow professionals.
The Institute's North East Region currently has four Groups: Humber Group; South Yorkshire Group; Tyne Tees Group; West & North Yorkshire Group.
