Search begins for Next Generation Conference Chair

28 February 2024/Categories: CILT, Press Releases, Logistics & Supply Chain, Institute News

The search has begun once again to find a suitable Chair for this year's CILT(UK) Annual Conference in 2024.

The Institute's Annual Conference will take place on Thursday 19th September 2024 at the De Vere Beaumont in Windsor. This year's theme is ‘Mastering the Competitive Advantage’ and we will be recruiting a Next Generation professional to chair the conference, building on the success of previous years.

To be eligible, applicants must be a CILT(UK) member at student, graduate, affiliate or MILT level. They must be available to attend in person on 19th September in Windsor. The Chair will need to be comfortable speaking in front of the expected audience of around 200 people and being involved in PR and marketing activities.

The application process involves submitting a short video up to two minutes discussing thoughts on the conference theme. This is the first stage before progressing to a panel interview. Candidates can choose whether their videos are used regardless of whether they are selected.

The deadline for applications is 31st May 2024. Judging will begin once applications close, followed by second stage interviews on 17th June. The successful candidate will be featured in the July/August issue of Focus magazine.

CILT(UK) urges interested Next Generation professionals to put themselves forward for this unique opportunity to gain experience, network and raise their profile within the industry.
