CILT(UK) accredits new University of Oxford PD short course

04 July 2012/Categories: CILT International News

In December 2012, Transport Studies Unit, University of Oxford, launches its inaugural Oxford Leadership Programme: ‘Global Challenges in Transport'.

Designed to meet the needs of high-calibre professionals working in transport and related fields, across the public, private and third sectors, this flexible, modular programme is certified and fully CPD accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT). Offering a unique and critical perspective, it is targeted at existing and future leaders who seek a greater understanding of the key economic, societal and environmental issues facing global mobility in the 21st Century.

CILT's Professional Development Project Director Dorothea Carvalho says:

‘In the fast changing world of the 21 Century, understanding the economic, social and environmental conditions which affect transport and logistics is key  for organisations to survive, change and grow.

The CILT(UK) is delighted be working with the University of Oxford in the accreditation and endorsement of their new short course programme ‘Global Challenges in Transport' which will offer an opportunity for professionals from a variety of sectors to find out just what those challenges are and how to adapt to manage them successfully.  ‘

The Programme would particularly suit those working in transport research, policy-making, urban planning, finance, consulting, petrochemicals, logistics, manufacturing, engineering, political lobbying or journalism.
