DHL Supply Chain, the global logistics provider, has extended its contract with bathstore, the UK’s largest bathroom retailer. The partnership will continue for a further five years and is valued at £37.5 million. 
 
The national and dedicated operation will run from a base in Daventry, supported by a further nine outbases and delivering to 168 stores nationwide. Furthermore, DHL will provide two man home deliveries to consumers as part of the contract and will make 200,000 deliveries - both to stores and consumers’ homes - on behalf of bathstore each year.
 
In addition to operating warehouses and providing transport for bathstore, DHL will offer consolidated deliveries as part of the contract, collaborating with other suppliers so that orders from separate customers can go in one delivery instead of two. This improves efficiencies for both customers, reducing costs and maximizing resource.

By scanning products at point of delivery, DHL’s solution with bathstore will improve accuracy and reduce consumer returns to store. The contract will also create 100 jobs in warehousing and transport across the five years.
